Description:                 Position provides daily-supervised maintenance operations of water, sewer, streets, parks, etc., as directed.  
Salary Range:               $13.02/hour - $19.23/hour
Requirements:  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical activity of bending & lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Available for periodic on-call weekend status

 License or Certificate:
Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 180 days from date of employment.

HIRING NOTICE - OVILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Ovilla Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of POLICE OFFICER and RESERVE POLICE OFFICER.  Starting pay for an entry level police officer position is $39,728 annually. ($19.10 per hour)  Other benefits include a TMRS retirement program with a 2 to 1 match by the City and paid health insurance for employees.

Requirements

General Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 21 Years of age with a valid TX Driver’s License.
  • Current TCOLE certification a plus, but not required.
  • Honorable Military Discharge. (if applicable)
  • Must be able to pass written exam, interview board, background check, physical exam, psychological exam, drug screen, and additional job performance assessments.
