Description:                 Position provides daily-supervised maintenance operations of water, sewer, streets, parks, etc., as directed.  
Salary Range:               $14.30/hour - $20.35/hour
Requirements:  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical activity of bending & lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Available for periodic on-call weekend status

 License or Certificate:
Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 180 days from date of employment.

Job Title:                    Code Enforcement / Animal Control
Benefits:                      N/A
Status:                         Non-exempt 
Pay Range:                   $15.73/hour  -  $22.39/hour

The City of Ovilla is accepting applications until October 1, 2018 for a Part-time Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer.  The position will be required to work 24-28 hours per week. Evening and weekend work required.   The purpose of this position is to identify violations of state and local laws and codes, and to maintain and enhance property values. Additionally, this position is to provide for the health and safety to the citizens of the City of Ovilla through the enforcement of City ordinances regarding animal control.

Requirements:                 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Physical activity of bending & lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Ability to pursue and obtain additional job-related training and certification including septic system inspection training and State Plumbing Inspectors License.

Required Licenses or Certificates:
Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license

  • Texas Certified Code Enforcement Officer Certificate
  • Basic Animal Control Officer Certification and Certified Euthanasia Technician preferred.  Must be able to obtain certifications within six month of hire date.
  • Ability to pursue and obtain additional job-related training and certification including septic system inspection training and State Plumbing Inspectors License.
