Garbage Collection
Garbage Collection
Garbage pick up is every Thursday for the west part of town (west side of Cockrell Hill Road and the south side of Red Oak Creek Road) and Friday for the east part of town (east side of Cockrell Hill Road and the north side of Red Oak Creek). All trash items should be out by 7:00 am.
Recycling is the same day as the regular garbage pickup but will run every other week. See the 2022 recycling schedule and refer to the column of your scheduled regular service day (either Thursday or Friday) for your recycling days for each month.
Bundled trees, shrubs, etc., securely tied together forming an easily handled package not exceeding 4-feet in length or 50 lbs. in weight will be picked up on regular collection day.
Bulk/Brush Collection is available to all residents every other week on their recycle day. Each resident may set out up to 4-cubic yards of bulk or brush. In some areas brush must be set in the front due to alleyways not being accessible by the brush trucks. Please contact CWD at 972-392-9300 if you live in an area that has an alleyway prior to pick up.
Bulk Waste includes appliances such as stoves, washing machines, furniture, etc. Items cannot exceed 150 lbs. in weight. Refrigerators must have CFCs removed by a certified technician and tagged confirming removal.
The City of Ovilla contracts with CWD. The waste company will not collect chemicals, tires, or building materials, including but not limited to liquid paint, pesticides, car batteries and roofing materials.
For questions please contact CWD at (972) 392-9300 or refer to the CWD map for details on your collection days.
